I just found out there's a little techie tradeshow this weekend on Bowen to let people know what is available on the rock. I thought it might be worth my while to participate and rent a table - one small problem...I don't have anything to display. About six months ago, I decided to update my logo, which of course means, I have no business cards, postcards, portfolio is out of date...etc... So I spent the majority of yesterday and this morning while Logan was at school to design some collateral, presentation boards and ship off to the printers. It was such a whirlwind but I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
18" x 24" presentation board which will be printed and mounted on black foam core.
4" x 6" postcards double sided. Thumbnails of projects on front and information on the back.
New business cards. For now I'm just having them digitally printed, but in the near future, I think I'll have them screenprinted onto brown kraft cardstock.
A lovely friend of mine is in the process of adopting twin boys from Ghana. Unfortunately, she has come up against some sticky red tape and road blocks in her way. She's been staying in Ghana since August and still does not know when she'll be able to return back to Bowen with her beautiful new boys. To help her and her family, and to let them all know how excited we are to meet her new additions and eager to get them back on Bowen soil, a bunch of friends got together and are throwing a benefit concert to help raise money for their airfare home. The Adam Woodall Band will be playing and we have tons of amazing merchandise to auction off. Will be a blast.
Here's one of the advertisements for this event that Studio947 designed:
Wow - I'm not doing so hot on keeping up with this. My problem seems to be taking pictures and downloading in a timely fashion to then write and post. Hmmm...that's a lot of work!
The craft fair went so-so unfortunately. But on the positive side, I have owls and elephants just waiting to go to good homes. I will be FINALLY posting my first ever goodies to my Etsy store. Okay...now to figure that out!
In the meantime, here's a preview of this years Degner Christmas Card. I scanned in some favourite papers, drew up some penguins et voila! The inside has a picture of my little bean and some fun text. I'm still tweaking the text and will post once finished.
Getting geared up for the first craft show I've participated in since Logan was born. I'm super excited, stressed, and hopeful that people will like what I have to offer. Here's the label I've come up with for the dresses...not sure about the sketchy font.
